I like making lists. It’s sort of calming too. And right now, I need that. My mind is sort of on the fritz; TOO MUCH TOO MUCH TOO MUCH. And yet…

Not enough.

And so CHEERS to some lists! 😀

Sayings and Words That I Do Not Agree With:

  • Good. Seriously people?! This is the english language!! We have so many different ways of saying EVERYthing, USE THEM!!! Spice up your lives, please D: Because if my life can’t be awesome, I need yours to be so I can leech off of it! (Heh heh. Kidding…) Try: Fantastic. Grand. Spiffy. Terrific. Fantabulous. Bien. Hanky-spanky. Dandy. Radical.
  • Party pooper. No. Being a boring, reserved, or strict person does not make you a party pooper. It makes you quite the opposite, in fact. Like seriously, whoever goes around pooping out parties is someone I seriously MUST MEET! Whenever I am down or bored, I’d feed them a ton, probably throw in a lot of fiber, and wait for things to get moving along because then BAM a party!
  • Happiness. Happiness is a temporary state of being. It’s what happens when you have that brief, legitimate smile. (Not a fake one, when everything is wrong on the inside, but a legitimate “Ooh I’m happy!” smile.) Society is so caught up with being happy, it’s become completely superficial. Because superficial DOES bring temporary happiness. What it does not bring, however, is joy. That is what I want and am after. Un-adulterated joy. Even when things are all wrong and you feel like screaming, you can be filled with joy. That is something much more permanent. Okay, okay, sorry for the rant that should be a blog post all on its own!

Books I’d Like to Read or Re-read:

  1. Tuesdays With Morrie — Ah. I forgot about this book until my Lit. Circle picked it today for english.
  2. The Magyk series — I’ve only read the first and second books. Such a fun read, so intriguing, and there’s so much to stimulate your brain! The plot is forever thickening, in such a playful way 😀
  3. All books Nicholas Sparks — ‘Nuff said.
  4. The Sloppy Firsts series — Again, I’ve only been able to read the first 2 books! I can’t manage to get my grubby little hands on the next and the next and the…next? Are there 5…?
  5. Howl’s Moving Castle — I am absolutely enchanted with this Hayao Miyazaki movie. (Gee, I hope I spelled his name right. I’m too lazy chill to google it…) And now I want to read the inspiration for MY inspiration!
  6. Castle In The Sky — Exact same concept as aforementioned book. Except that I still prefer HMC over CITS. Just sayin’.

Things I need to get caught up on:

  1. Broadcast Journalism project — I now have 6 days to complete Part 1 of this huge-ass final D:
  2. House cleaning — We’re trying to get our house on the market…No one is doing diddly-squat about it but I…sigh.
  3. Blogging — I have so many ideas bouncing around in my head, this blog is going to be HUGE!! Jam-packed with my brain, so that my brain doesn’t have to be the one jam-packed for once in my life!!! This place will be like my external hard-drive for my brain, blogging being the USB cord which connects the two 😀 😀 (Woot woot for on-the-spot analogies.)
  4. Job hunting
  5. Senior trip planning — I am a sophmore, but my best friend and I are already saving for this; we refer to it as our life trip.
  6. Youtube page
  7. Flickr page

I’ve found blogging calms me. All I’ve been thinking about these past few days is this here blog. Where I want it to take me; how I want to see it grow; what I’d like to add and write about; how I want it to look. (Ah shoot, there’s yet another list… d: ) But anyways, all that to say: to whichever stranger is reading this and allowing me to ramble to them; thank you. My fingers are happy knowing that this blog is being viewed by randomers out there,  that their pound-pound-pounding away is being heard 😀

Hayao Miyazaki is AWESOME (or fantastic, or grand, or spiffy, etc). And you did indeed spell his name right 🙂

I think that I’m very much like you, in that I also had my blog for a while before I made a first post, because I didn’t want to fill it with anything that I wasn’t sure was good enough – in the same kind of way that I’m scared of writing on the first page of a beautiful new notebook. I guess I didn’t want to ruin it. Also, lists have a calming effect on me too. I think it’s because they stop my brain from trying to construct its own, non-physical lists, which always seem to exaggerate the amount of things that I have to do, and fly around being half-forgotten before I organise myself enough to write them down. xxx

Ooh I have that same thing with notebooks as well d: And yes, indeed! My brain zooms around at well over 100 thoughts a minute. So lists are a way for me to reach up, grab a thought, and pin it down so it can stop cluttering the air up there d:

Thank you dearly for taking the time to stop by and visit me!! That has made my heart sing 🙂
